Prayers and Hymns

1. “And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God” (luke 12:8).
We beseech You, Lord God, to grant us wisdom and spiritual awakening so that we walk in the Spirit witnessing to Your holy word and professing our faith in You without fear of this world’s persecution, but rather seeking the victorious crown of eternal life.
We pray to You, O Lord.

2. “This is my Son, the Beloved; listen to him!” (Mark 9:7).
Lord God, may we, in the Feast of transfiguration, live while looking up to heaven and acting according to Your Commandments. Engulf us with Your dazzling light so we praise Your glorious Resurrection. We pray to You, O Lord.

3. “indeed, his mercy is for those who fear him, from generation to generation” (Luke 1:50)..
On the feast of the Ascension of our Mother Ever Virgin Mary, we pray to grant us, O God, the obedience of your saints to accomplish your holy will. May we thrive to help the weak and the needy so that we glorify your heavenly mercies. We pray to You, O Lord.

4. “Whoever does not carry the cross and follow me cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:27).
Give us, O Lord, the strength to carry the Cross of love. May we detach ourselves from the vanities of this world and cherish your abundant blessings while we are longing for your heavenly dwellings. We pray to You, O Lord.

5. “You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect” (Luke 12:40).
